Manny Pacquiao's Next Fight - Fans Want A knockout

{adselite}It will be nearly five years since Manny Pacquiao has won a fight by knockout, a TKO victory over Miguel Cotto. It’s been nearly five and a half years since Pacman has delivered a truly picture perfect knockout. That marrow-spilling tee-off on Ricky Hattons chin seems like a lifetime ago for KO crazed boxing fans.

On November 22, Pacquiao will face Chris Algieri (20-0-8 KO) in China. Many in the great republic of boxing expect Pacquiao to easily bat the lanky New Yorker around like a sick feline would taunt a rodent.

Of course all bets seem to be on Pacquiao regardless of Algieri’s quick climb up the ranking ladder with his most notable victory over Ruslan Provodnikov this past June.

His fans believe that Algeries defense and size advantage may be enough to keep the WBO welterweight title off waist of the 35 year old boxing Icon. Pacquiao is nearly four inches shorter than Algieri, who at 5’10 also has a reach that is six inches longer than Pacquiao.

At 35 years old and 63 fights you learn a few things. Pacquio’s physical stature at 5’8” historically has never been too much of an issue, freeze frame to the immediate post fight face of Antonio Margarito. Enough said.......

“Algieri uses the ring well and he loved to lean on the ropes. We must devise a strategy to count this.”  Buboy Fernandez, Pacquiao’s assistant trainer said.

Obviously Buboy had no serious concerns about his fighter and his abilities to dismantle the taller opponent. Most would agree that if this is the only strategy Team Pacquio needs to figure out then we can already consider the Algieri strategy has been simply devised. It’s easier to swat a two by four across the room when it is leaning against a wall rather than sitting sideways.

If your the betting type and have a love affair with extreme risk vote for Algieri, after all it’s boxing and upsets do happen, you could be rich! However, the “who’s gonna win” question is hardly being muttered in the boxing world. The question being asked is "Is Manny gonna knock this guy out”.

Ask Buboy!
