An evening with the Stars aligned at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York. The grudge match between Canadian David “The KO Artist” Lemieux (33-2, 31KOs) and Philly’s Own, Gabriel Rosado (21-9, 13KOs) took center stage in front of a capacity crowd, Saturday night. Rosado was driven to the ground early in Round 3; this would also be the onset of complicated right eye issues that would persist throughout the fight.

Lemieux would live up to his name getting a 10th round TKO victory, after an unofficial doctor stepped to the ropes stopping the fight before further damage could be done to Rosado’s left eye. It was later learned Dr. Jordan is the chief doctor for the athletic commission. It was a back and forth grudge match with Lemieux advancing the points. Rosado was examined several times due the mountainous right eye that seemed closed, but the gladiator in him would not concede.  Time was 1:45 in Round 10

The second showdown of he evening pit Middleweights Hugo “The Boss” Centeno Jr. (22-0, 12 KOs) against James De La Rosa  (23-3, 13 KOs).  Centeno Jr. scores an early knockdown with a power jab, that sent De La Rosa to the canvass a little over a minute into the first round.  By the fifth ring call the Oxnard native sent De La Rosa’s head crashing into the mat.  Stoppage 2:26 in the 5th round.

HBO Boxing after Dark began with mixed reviews as Thomas Dulorme (22-1, 14 KOs) (fills the vacant NABF and NABA vacant junior welter weight title against “Hammerin” Hank Lundy (25-4-1 12 KOs). In a thrilling stand off, Dulorme lands a stiff right to Lundy’s temple in the first round, which leads to a flash knockdown. In the 2nd Round, Dulorme keeps the pressure on Lundy causing him to keep backpedaling throughout the round. In the latter rounds, Lundy started to land precision shots to Dulorme’s face, which caused a strategy change. But by the 10th, Lundy went all out to land a knock down. The bout was a split decision 96-93 Lundy and 96-93, 97-92 to Dulorme.
