Adonis Stevenson riding high after war with Donovan George

Riding high after Friday night’s victory over Chicago’s Donovan “Da Bomb” George, Quebec super middleweight Adonis “Superman” Stevenson is looking forward to an inevitable title shot. Stevenson (19-1, 16 KO’s) dropped George (23- 3- 1, 20 KO’s) five times in-route to a TKO victory at the: 55 mark of the 12th and final round.

In front of a raucous crowd at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Stevenson showed why he is ready for a title shot by his dominating performance in what was an IBF super middleweight eliminator.

The 35 year old Stevenson injured his left hand early on and later stated “After the third round I didn’t have the proper leverage to land my right hand, I’m pretty sure my ribs are broken, obviously if you’ve seen me fight, my only punch is my right hand. I threw it, I just couldn’t find him, I couldn’t time it.”

So, instead the crowd was able to see a complete performance by Stevenson, as he went into the 12th round for the first time in his illustrious career. The heart is there and so is the punching power, which should make Adonis Stevenson a very dangerous super middleweight in 2013. Rest assured that Carl Froch and his team were intently watching this weekend for a glimpse at the upcoming war that is coming towards them from Montreal….
