Rigondeaux defeats Donaire by UD

Two time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux simply out boxed one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world, Nonito Donaire.  The Cuban used excellent boxing skills for 11 and a half rounds and it seemed to have frustrated the pressing Donaire.  In round 10 Donaire finally landed one of his big shots which sent Guillermo to the floor.  Rigo was able to get up and they went into the 11 round with Donaire far behind on my card, and on HBO's Harold Letterman's card.

When the fight went to the cards, the judges saw it closer than most.  Julie Letterman as usual scored it the most accurate 116/111.  Rigondeaux won a well deserved victory.  Official scores   114/113  115/112  and 116/111
