Fight Fans everywhere, if you were not seated inside of The Orleans Arena located in beautiful Las Vegas, NV. on February 16th, well all I can say is you missed one hell of a show.

Superior Cage Combat put on its fourth show with some big names behind it.  I witnessed some of the best fights that I have had the pleasure of covering, and let's not forget about the unforgettable drama that saw UFC vet Terry Martin getting cut from the card for not meeting his Nevada Athletic Commission’s medicals, to John Gunderson tapping out Justin Buchholz to win the SCC Lightweight Title. Let's not forget the UFC dream shattering of Kendall "Da Spyder" Grove as he was choked unconscious by Jay Silva in what many claim to be the upset heard around the regional MMA world.

I haven't even started on the undercards yet which saw some amazing action such as Brandon Bender triangle choking his way to a 3rd round tap out over Marlins “Shorty” Weikel. The crowd witnessed The “Fallen Angel” Dominique Robinson drop a decision to Team Nogueira member Paulo Bananada Silva, and a vicious knockout handed to Anthony Hamilton courtesy of Walter Harris. Who could ever forget witnessing UFC heavyweight Frank Mir up in arms and literally out of his seat screaming as he watched Team Suffer teammate Danny Davis Jr. fighting his heart out only to drop a decision to Ultimate Fighter star Jamie Yager?

One fight that kicked off the evening and helped set the tone of the SCC 4 show was “Handsome” Jimmy Jones kicking and punching his heart out while taking some punishment from his equally game opponent in Joao Victor.  After two rounds of exciting action Jones was able to take over the fight and snap on a rear naked choke in the third to improve his pro record to 4-1-0 also handing his opponent his first loss.

Now February 16th is behind us and we are looking forward to the next Superior Cage Combat show. However, I forgot to mention the star status that this small organization in Las Vegas brought; the crowd was able to lay their eyes on such UFC stars as, Frank Mir, Randy Couture, Dan Hardy, Keith Jardine, Anderson Silva and of course the man himself Dana White.   With names like this attending, this reporter can only hope that SCC continues to grow, and continues to attract the talent that it has thus far in its existence.  I look forward to the next action packed card, and to bringing you the run down right here on 8CN.
