One of boxing’s rising female stars, Jisselle Salandy, died this past Sunday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on the Beetham Highway (Port of Spain)
It is reported that The 21 year old WBA, WBC and WIBF female light middleweight champion crashed her automobile into a concrete pillar around 7AM and was pronounced dead at 8:29 the same day.
Salandy, who had a pro record of 17-0 with six knockouts, defeated Yahaira Hernandez (10-3-0) in her last boxing match on December 26 of this year.
