Francisco "Pancho" Moncivais Has Died
July 25th, 2009
8CountNews unfortunately has to report that Francisco "Pancho" Moncivais has died. Mississippi Athletic Commissioner (Jon Lewis) was at the hospital and reported to 8CN that the family had spoken with the doctors involved, and was informed that the fallen fighter would not recover from his injury. It was then decided to take "Pancho" off of life support. Moncivais was not only a champion inside of the ring, but he was a champion outside of the ring as well.
This writer has known this young man for several years now, and I do not have the words to describe how much of a gentleman he was. Pancho was one of the nicest, classiest, well mannered guys that you could ever meet. Please keep the Moncivais family in your prayers as they cope with this tragic event.
8CountNews sends out our deepest condolences to the Moncivais family.
