Allan Green-Sakio Most Likely Not Happening September 19th
August 5th, 2009
Chris Robinson
The September 19th Floyd Mayweather-Juan Manuel Marquez card is shaping up to have one of the most solid undercards in recent memory with bouts such as Chris John-Rocky Juarez II, Zab Judah-Antonio Diaz, Vincente Escobeo-Michael Katsidis, and more recently Ali Funeka-Joan Guzman all being tossed around. One of the proposed bouts that most likely won't end up taking place on September 19th is a clash between Contender Season 3 Champion Sakio Bika and Super Middleweight contender Allan 'Sweetness' Green. "We were talking about it for a minute but right now it doesn't look like it's going to happen," Green recently said. "I was only interested in the fight if the money was right and they kept trying to play games with me anyways. So it doesn't like it's going to happen because his people pulled the offer from the table." Despite being left off of Showtime's 'Super Six' Super Middleweight tournament and the possibility of fighting Bika now just a distant memory, Green still has high hopes for the future. "There is still some options out there," The Tulsa, Oklahoma native state. "There is a strong chance that I may be fighting Kelly Pavlik in the future. Right now I am eyeing an October 2nd fight with Victor Oganov and if anything else hopefully that goes through."
