Roy Jones Jr Destroys Lacy - TKO 10

8CountNews was ringside for Roy Jones Jr vs Jeff Lacy in Biloxi, MS.  It was early in the fight when Roy started to impose his will, and he didn't look back. Each round was pretty much the same thing, Roy beating Lacy to the punch, and Lacy coming forward eating leather.  Roy Jones still has very fast hands, and although he had the perfect opponent in front of him, he still showed signs of complete greatness.  Current light heavyweight world champion, and now IBO cruiserweight world champion, Danny Green was ringside after his fight taking it all in, because it appears as if all systems are go for a Roy Jones Jr vs Danny Green fight in the near future.

It would be the 10th round when the Lacy camp decided that they have had enough, and decided to stop the fight.  This was a good decision, there was no way Lacy could win this fight, and his face showed it.  Bleeding from both eyes, Lacy was a defeated, beaten man and had no argument with the stoppage.  After the fight Lacy showed a lot of class and congratulated Jones on a job well done.  

Roy thanked the fans of Mississippi, and promised to be back in the ring in the very near future.

Lenroy "TNT" Thomas vs Gabe "Big G" Brown - Thomas UD 60/54 all three judges.  Thomas looked sharp against a guy that weighed over 350lbs.  Keep an eye out for this kid.  Trained by world class trainer Dan Birmingham, and promoted by TKO boxing, this kid is a prospect worthy of closer look.

Yaundale Evans vs Frederick Bowen - Bowen TKO1 -

Gabriel Pham vs Troy Pollock - Pham TKO 1 - Refs calls a halt to the action after Pollock knockdown.

Ray "Emperor" Narh vs Marteze Logan - Narth TKO 5 - Narh of Ghana Africa completely outclassed Logan.  Referee stopped the fight at 1:21 or round 5.

TV FIGHTS

Verquan "The Show" Kimbrough vs Jason "The American Boy" Litzau - Litzau destroyed Kimbrough with wicked left hooks and speed.  Kimbrough never had a chance.  Litzau grabbed the NABF lightweight title with the win, and ups his stock.  Litzau looked very good against a game opponent in Kimbrough.  Verquan was down two times, forcing an early stoppage.

BJ Flores vs Epifanio Mendoza - Flores TKO 4 - Cruiserweight contender BJ Flores tested the waters at heavyweight and looked extremely impressive.  Flores dominated a game Mendoza out of Columbia.  It appeared as if Flores' handspeed is quicker, and he took it right to Mendoza tonight.  Mendoza claims that he injured his shoulder and could not continue, so the referee stopped the fight.  Flores was well on his way to completely thrashing Mendoza anyway.

Danny Green vs Julio Cesar Dominguez - Green KO5 - Green adds another belt to his resume by way of 5th round knockout.  Green had Mendoza hurt bad in the first round, and continued his assault the rest of the way.  The win positions Danny Green to fight Roy Jones Jr in the very near future. With the win, Green captured the IBO cruiserweight title.
