Knockout Fest in Tunica! Witherspoon, Guerrero, Porter, Wade Victorious

August 29th, 2009

Chazz Witherspoon, Fernando Guerrero, Shawn Porter, and Dominick Wade Get Big Wins!

It was a night filled with knockouts at Fitzgerald's Casino in Tunica, MS.  Prize Fight Promotions packed the house and shared this exciting night of fights worldwide on www.PrizeFightTV.Com.  The evening started out with two heavyweights, former amateur standout Mike Wilson taking on veteran Marvin Hunt.
Wilson made his pro debut, and he did it in impressive fashion knocking out Hunt at 1:59 of the first round.  Wilson landed a hard right hand that sent Hunt crashing to the floor.  Official time 1:59 round 1

The second bout of the evening matched up Prize Fight's newest addition, heavyweight contender Chazz Witherspoon (26-1-18KO) vs Willie Perryman.  Witherspoon looked very impressive in his first appearance in front the Tunica/Memphis fans.  Perryman tried to make it a fight early on in the first round, but Witherspoon wasn't having any of it.  A left hook followed by a nasty right hand sent Perryman down in the 1st round.  The second round didn't get any better for Perryman as Witherspoon came in for the attack.  Perryman would find the floor again in the second round forcing an end to the fight.  Offiical time 2:09 round two.

Middleweight prospect Dominick Wade (4-0-4KO) absolutely destroyed  Tyrone Dowdy.  Wade was throwing punches from all kinds of angles. A vicious body attack followed by nasty uppercuts, and pretty much every other punch known to man was just too much for Dowdy.  Dowdy sustained a nasty cut over his eye forcing the referee to call the doctor in for a look.  The round continued, but it didn't last very long.  Wade resumed his attack and forced and end to the contest at 2:25 of the first round.

Jr middleweight prospect Shawn Porter (10-0-8KO) took apart a game Lamar Harris.  Porter threw everything but the kitchen sink at this kid, and it was way too much for Harris to handle. Porter dropped Harris twice in the first round, and that was enough for the Harris corner, they stopped the fight at 2:18 of round 1.

Super Middleweight Fernando Guerrero (15-0-13KO) continued his impressive win streak over a pretty tough Chris Archer.  It was nothing but body, body, body, body, for Guerrero.  Archer hung in there for a little while, but the body attack that he took was unreal.  Guerrero attacked the body and would not stop until Archer crumbled to the floor.  Archer would find the floor 3 times in the fight, all by way of body shots compliments Fernando Guerrero.  The referee called a halt to the action at 2:15 seconds of the third round.

In attendance at tonight's fights were both Anthony and Lamont Peterson.  Look for an exclusive 8CN video interview with Anthony Peterson SOON!
