Bombs will be flying in the Bay area Saturday night as two of Tampa’s top promotions, Terry Trekas’ One Punch Productions and Pete Fernandez’s Fight Factory Promotions, team up to present an exciting night of boxing featuring some of the best prospects in the area at the Downtown Tampa Hyatt Regency.
In the main event, cruiserweight Nick “The Showstopper” Iannuzzi from Tampa, Fl puts his undefeated record (12-0) on the line in the biggest fight of his career, against spoiler Harvey Jolly. In his last fight Iannuzzi won an 8 round decision over Willie “Blackout” Chisolm. The fight was a rematch from their 2008 brawl. Having fought exclusively in Tampa, Iannuzzi has fought notable journeyman such as Jason Barnett, Hilario Guzman and Theo Kruger. Jolly, comes into the fight with a deceiving record of 9-11-1. He has fought some of the games top prospects, including an upset victory over Evans Quinn and a close split decision battle against Adam “Swamp Donkey” Richards in his last fight.
In the co feature, undefeated prospect and former amateur standout Raymond Charles (11-0-2) from Houston battles Louie Lejia in a 6 round welterweight clash. This will be Charles’ second fight in the Bay area since signing with former undisputed Lightweight Champion Nate Campbell’s Voodoo Management. Lejia, cousin of former champ Jesse James Lejia, is a veteran of 33 fights that includes an NABF title shot against Jesus Chavez, and battles against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Ben Tackie, Emmanuel Augustus, and Derrick Gainer.
Legendary matchmaker Johnny Bos has lined up a total of 8 fights, including Voodoo Management’s Cordero Simpkins (1-0) and Kenneth Moody Jr. (1-0) in separate bouts. Also featured is heavyweight Lamar Davis, Light heavyweight Adam Jaco, flyweight Anthony Rodriguez, and light middleweight Manny Woods.
