Rising Jr middleweight prospect Shawn Porter returns to action!

Rising Jr Middleweight prospect Shawn Porter will make his return to the ring on November 21st, at Fitzgerald's Casino in Tunica, MS. Porter will face Jerome Ellis in an 8 round bout. Porter, a highly touted amateur standout has been impressing the boxing world with his wicked fast hands, and lethal knockout power. When famed fight trainer Freddie Roach invites a young fighter into his stable to assist his world champion Manny Pacquiao, that says a little something about the caliber of fighter that this young man is. Porter flew across the pond to the Philippines with his father/trainer Kenny and helped prepare world renowned legend Manny Pacquiao prepare for his eventual victory over former welterweight champ Miguel Cotto.
During the camp reports starting coming out about how impressive the young Porter was peforming against Pacquiao during sparring sessions. In a recent interview here on 8CountNews boxing trainer Freddie Roach expressed his thoughts on Porter, " He's a future world champion, no doubt about it. He did stun Pacquiao with a very nice punch during sparring." Roach was very impressed with Porter's hand speed and power, "He's fast, and he's strong, and that's what we needed to help us prepare Manny."
