A Father’s Fight Movie Premiere & Concert

Brockton – On The Mark & Televisual Productions present an advance screening of the documentary A Father’s Fight starring Mark Chaupetta on Friday night January 22nd at The Shaws Center. The movie was co-directed by Peter Czymbor and Ron Van Dam.
Only 100 tickets will be released to the public. A suggested donation is $30 and all proceeds go towards fighting Duchene’s Muscular Dystrophy.

The movie follows Chaupetta around as he prepares for a Mixed Martial Arts fight to take place in his hometown of Brockton. Chaupetta, a father of twin boys who suffer from Duchene’s M.D., fights for the purpose of raising money & awareness to help find a cure for the terminal illness that his boys suffer from. All the while using MMA as an escape from the stress of everyday life caring for two children confined to a wheelchair due to their ailment.

Throughout the movie, Chaupetta trains & gets advice from several notable MMA fighters including former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin, UFC lightweight contender & Bridgewater native Joe Lauzon and former Cage Fury Fighting welterweight Champion & Stoughton resident Mike Varner.

He also hears the thoughts & opinions of several friends and professionals, including his children’s neurologist, who tell him not to go through with the fight for fear he could injure himself and not be able to properly care for his kids.

Following the screening of the movie, Canadian pop duo Carmen & Camille, whose songs appear in the documentary, will perform a set of songs featured in the movie. Their music has also appeared in the hit MTV show The Hills.

About Mark Chaupetta:

Mark Chaupetta is father of 4 and local Private Investigator who trains as a part time MMA fighter. Chaupetta is the subject of A Father’s Fight. Previously, he’s hosted a radio show on WXBR 1460-AM in Brockton and ran for state representative for the 10th Plymouth District in Massachusetts. He is very active in charitable causes relating to Duchene’s muscular dystrophy.
