Donaire vs Vargas Fight Results

WBA interim-super flyweight champion Nonito Donaire knocked out Manuel Vargas in the third round at the Las Vegas Hilton tonight.

The Filipino favorite used his jab and right hand effectively. From the get go Vargas struggled to adjust to Donaires dominating style. The Filipino star was simply too big and too fast.

In the first round he rocked Vargas with a hard left hook but did not send Vargas down.

In the second round Vargas was able to find his place and sneak in a couple of good shots but Donaire followed up with some fine tuned rights that started moving Vargas back to retreat mode.

During a nice exchange in the third Donaire un-earthed a series of punches to the head and body and finished Manuel with giant uppercut to send him down and out for the 10 count.
