Telemundo moves to Tampa

The June 4th edition of Boxeo Telemundo , originally scheduled at Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami, has been moved to the Ala Carte Pavilion in Tampa. The original card, promoted by Tuto Zabala’s All Star boxing will still broadcast the WBO Latino Lightweight title bout between Philipino prospect Mercito Gesta and Mexican Oscar Meza, however the card will now be co promoted with Zabala, Fight Night Productions and TKO Productions and be added to a previously scheduled card.
The already scheduled June 4th card in Tampa, Florida, promoted by Fight Night Productions and TKO Productions was not scheduled for broadcast. The card, part of the “Hometown Heroes” boxing series features former world title challenger and Florida native Edner Cherry versus Ira Terry as well as several of boxing’s rising stars including Lenroy Thomas, Joseph Elegele, J’Leon Love, Daniel Lozano and Charlie Serrano. The inaugural “Hometown Heroes” show at the Ala Carte Pavilion was an astounding success with an above capacity crowd.
Fans in Miami, will not be without fights however on this night. ESPN’s Friday Night Fight series will be taking place at the Tamiami Fairgrounds featuring Kenny Galarza versus Brad Solomon and Cuban sensations Yudel Johnson, Yuandale Evans and more.
