Bradley and Angulo victorious on HBO Boxing After Dark

July 17th, 2010

Timothy Bradley Vs. Carlos Abregu

Timothy Bradley rocked Abregu in round 2 with a nice right hand.  He dropped Albregu in round 7 with a nasty body shot and at the same time clashed heads.   Bradley was in a gut check fight against a wiley veteran, but he did what he had to do in order to get the victory.  This wasn't one of Bradley's most memoral performances, but nevertheless he gets the victory.  Official scores 118/110 116/112 117/111 Bradley UD

Angulo Vs. Alcine

Alfredo Angulo pounced all over Joachim Alcine from the opening bell of the 1st round.  Angulo brought in a new conditioning coach and it seems to have paid off. Alcine for some reason pinned Angulo's left arm in the middle of round one, and let Angulo rock him with several right hands in a row.  Alcine then backed off and onto the ropes where Angulo would throw several unanswered punches forcing the referee to call a halt to the action.

Official time - 2:59 of round 1
