Ishe Smith talks Guerrero fight, future, and 154lb campaign

July 18th, 2010

Ishe Smith (21-5-9KO) sat down with 8CountNews and talked about his recent fight against rising undefeated middleweight Fernando Guerrero.  Smith gives a lot of props to the young Guerrero but feels as if he got robbed on the scorecards in Mississippi.  Ishe isn't alone, former light heavyweight world champion and Showtime broadcaster Antonio Tarver felt as if the fight should have been scored a draw.   Smith ended up losing a unanimous decision, but even in defeat his performance was one of the best of his career.  Smith has decided to campaign down at the 154lb weight class.  Fighting guys at 160lbs seems to be a bit much for the Smith, and it would probably bode well for his career to go down in weight.  Check out what Ishe had to say in this exclusive 8CN Podcast.
