One MOE champ in NYC! Shea grabs NABF title!

And the NEW! NABF featherweight champion Maureen Shea is heading back to the Bronx with a little more jewelry with her than when she left. Last night in Saratoga Springs, New York, Shea squared off against Liliana Martinez. There was little doubt who was going to get the victory in this one, Shea came out with all guns blazing and never looked back. It would only take 3 rounds for Shea to send a message to anyone in her division that wants to step up that she means business. With this win Maureen grabs the NABF featherweight title, and takes one more step toward becoming a world champion.

At 1:18 seconds of round three the referee called a halt to the action due to a relentless flurry that Martinez had no answer for. Shea's relentless work ethic at Global Boxng Gym, and the class act team that surrounds her paid dividends last night. The victory couldn't have happened to a better person. Maureen Shea's passion for her community, and the way she gives back to her community speaks volumes about her character as a person. It's nice to see such a great person who works so hard receive the reward at the end of the day.
