Juan Manuel Marquez earned a hard fought well earned unanimous decision over Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada. Marquez landed the more effective shots throughout the fight, and used brilliant counters. Diaz chose to box instead of grind which proved costly as Marquez is the better boxer. Diaz showed a lot of heart, and fought a spirited fight, but was just outboxed. Diaz lost the fight but in defeat he still showed that he can compete with the best in the world. Marquez said after the fight that he wants Pacquiao again, that's the fight that's more important than anything else in his boxing career.
