Adamek vs Grant fight results

August 22nd, 2010

Tomasz Adamek 42-0-27KO Vs. Michael Grant 46-4 -34kKO

Heavyweight contender Tomasz Adamek and Michael Grant put on a thrilling heavyweight war tonight from the Prudential Center in New Jersey.  The first 5 rounds were clearly Adamek rounds, but rounds7 through round 9 Grant closed the gap.  Adamek was stunned in round 12 and smartly wrapped up as to not get hurt any further.  Both men were bleeding, Adamek from both eyes, and Grant from the mouth.  It was a great heavyweight brawl, one that boxing needs more of.  This victory will position Adamek closer to a world title bid against David Haye, or one of the Klitschko brothers in the near future.

Official scores 117/111 118/110 118/111  Tomasz Adamek UD

Jeremy Bryan 14-1-7KO  Vs. Daniel Mitchell 5-2-2KO

Mitchell claimed that he was elbowed in the left eye but held his right eye in the corner.  Go figure.  Fight stopped after round 1

Official -  TKO Bryan

Sadam Ali 9-0-5KO Vs. Lenin Arroyo 20-13-4KO-1D

Brooklyn New York's Sadam Ali put on a beautiful display of boxing that was just too much for the game Lenin Arroyo.  Ali, a former US Olympian dictated the pace early, and outboxed Arroyo for the entire night.  In round 5 Ali threw a vicious left hook to the liver the dropped Arroyo for good.  The official time was 2:46 seconds of round 5.

The future is very bright for Ali.  The kid showed beautiful handspeed, beautiful footwork, and tremendous balance.  Keep your eye on this kid, he has world champion written all over him.

Joel Julio  35-4 -31KO Vs Jamall Davis 12 -6- 6KO

Joel Julio bounced back nicely after coming up short in his last effort against Alfredo Angulo.  Julio took on a tough Jamall Davis and for the first 5 rounds of the fight, it was fairly competitive.  Julio suffered a cut under his right eye in round 3, but good work by his cutman made it a non issue.  Julio cruised to a nice unanimous decision.

Official scores – 97/93  98/92  99/93
