8CN Exclusive Interview: Fres Oquendo

February 9th, 2010

8CountNews caught up with the NABA heavyweight champion Fres Oquendo.  This warrior has fought the best heavyweights in the world, and he steps back into the ring on February 20th against the hard hitting Demetrice King.  This fight will take place at the Horseshoe Casino, in Hammond, Indiana.  Oquendo looks for the ultimate dream of all fighters, to win a world championship.  He has proven his worth in this sport over and over again.  Oquendo also talks about his Fres Oquendo Boxing Academy, a program that helps the inner city youth kids of Chicago.  Oquendo has a passion to lift up our youth, to help them avoid the trials that life can throw at them.  Keep an eye on this warrior, he's knocking on the door of a world title in the very near future.

Special thanks goes out to 8CN friend Rachel Charles for assisting with this interview.
