Punch Out at the PalmsOctober 18th, 2009
This weekend "Punch Out at the Palms" was an entertaining fight card.The venue was held at the plush Palms Resort and Casino in fabulous Las Vegas,Nevada.Punch Out in association with Guilty Boxing featured the rising stars of tomorrow including Sid El Harrak.
8countnews.com had the opportunity to speak with upcoming welterweight Sid "The Messenger" El Harrak.The pride of Morocco won a unanimous decision, over Juan Pablo Montes de Oca to continue his undefeated record. "I want to dedicate this fight to a close friend of mine,Joseph Nardone who passed away in August" said El Harrak.
I asked Sid how did he prepare for this fight? "I got some good work in with Anthony Lenk.I train very hard for every fight.I watched little clips on you tube..I just watched the Mike Tyson Documentary.He said i fear the man I fight, I fear he can beat me.That makes me train harder and harder" said the confident El Harrak.
El Harrak is internationally known with an allegiance of fans.El Harrak weighed in on Friday at 157.His opponent late replacement Juan Pablo Montes de Oca came in with a big weight advantage at 168. "Its the smarter man in the fight that wins,not the bigger" said El Harrak about the weight issue.Obviously he was correct after receiving the win this weekend to improve his record to 8-0.He shared information with 8countnews that his next fight may possibly be on Don King Productions Agbeko/Perez undercard Halloween night.
